We had the carpenter round this week too. This was a little disappointing. This was for the internal doors and he showed us brochures of lovely doors - all beautiful wooden doors - but just not us. We said we wanted our existing ones renovated and the carpenter thought we were mad as, for not a lot more, we could get all new. Ian explained that he liked old things that were a bit tatty around the edge, but full of character. I didn't like the way that they both looked at me.
